You might have heard about the sock puppets we have been designing and making. The children thought so hard about the character of their puppet and how they would make them. We tried them out in the puppet theatre before putting them on display. I think you will agree that they are wonderful!

9th December 2022

As part of their R.E. learning, we visited the church today. We were met by Reverend Tracey who showed us round the church and answered our questions. We were all allowed to go into the pulpit and go up to the altar. We were also able to see the bells. Everyone enjoyed their trip out and learnt a lot about Christianity.

November 2022

Year 1 children have been designing and making musical instruments. We learnt about the different types of musical instruments and then planned out how to make our own instrument using junk modelling equipment.

Year 1 were taught how to use junior hacksaws, manual drills and glue guns to help them construct their instrument.

Year 1 parents and grandparents came in to school to help us make our instruments. Not only did our instruments look brilliant, we tested them out and they sounded great too.
