The school is fully committed to developing and sustaining links with the local and wider community. We work in partnership with local groups such as Fellowship Afloat and the two village churches.
Exploring diversity both nationally and globally is an area we feel is essential in developing the children’s social awareness. We currently have a link with a school in Catalonia, Spain. This gives the children experiences to help them understand the wider world. We have been re-accredited with the International Schools Award for our commitment to exploring global diversity within our learning.
Parental Involvement in the school
Parental involvement in the children’s education is a fundamental part of our school. We actively encourage families to join in with school events and visit the school as often as possible. We are fortunate to have a number of parents and grandparents who regularly work with the children during the day. We hold an ‘Open Class’ each term which is an opportunity for you to join your child in their class and learn alongside them.
On Friday, we have our ‘Achievement Assembly’ where friends and families are warmly welcomed to join us. We also have a parent forum that meets once every half term to discuss school issues.
